Dental Select, headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah, has 20 years of experience providing dental plans for groups, families and individuals. Co-founded in 1989 by Brent Williams, President and CEO, Dental Select is now the largest dental benefits provider in Utah. With over 290,000 members in Utah, Texas and Nevada, we provide dental benefits to over 5,000 companies. Insured vision, Life and AD&D plans were recently added to our large dental plan portfolio of products. With plans to expand to additional states in the near future, Dental Select is positioned for rapid growth as a leader in the dental benefits industry.

History of Dental Select
In the 1980's Brent Williams left his career as an accountant in Canada with only $2,000 in his pocket, moved to Utah, and began realizing his dream of founding a business committed to people and solid business practices.
Brent first saw the need for making dental plans affordable to everyone. He later recognized frustrations from consumers and dental offices over refused and delayed payment of claims. Brent subsequently made it his mission to change the dental plan industry forever.
Brent founded the company in a small apartment. As he was able to garner some sales revenue, Brent expanded Dental Select to a small, furnished office with no money for a down payment and no money for salaries.
Brent believed they could make Dental Select a success. He hired a receptionist and had to cover her first pay check using a credit card. Although the company's growth during the first years was slow and steady, Brent nurtured this small company from 2 to 94 employees and has become the largest dental benefits provider in Utah.
Over the past few years, Dental Select has experienced tremendous growth. Brent also recognized the risks associated with rapid growth and maintained flexibility by shifting priorities for different phases of growth. Brent's vision has kept solid business practices in place during the shifting economy, growth into the Texas market and implementation of cutting edge technology.
Today, Dental Select is Utah's largest dental benefits provider. Dental Select is often able to turn around payment of claims within 24 hours and has maintained its commitment to providing quality dental insurance affordably.
Getting Involved in our Community
Keeping with a deeply rooted commitment to the community, Dental Select is the sole administrator of Sealants for SmilesTM, allowing 100% of all donations to go directly to improving the oral health of low income children. Sealants for SmilesTM is a school-based dental sealants program. The Sealants for SmilesTM organization has expanded upon the educational, screening/sealant services, and referral services previously provided to 2nd and 6th graders in Title I elementary schools in Salt Lake and Davis County in Utah. Under the direction of Mr. Williams, Sealants for Smiles will become a statewide program expanding the services first to Summit and Tooele counties then throughout the entire state of Utah.
Dental Select also, in a sponsorship of the Utah's National Kidney Foundation of Utah, provides dental benefits to all organ transplant recipients and dialysis patients residing in Utah at no charge for one full year. The dental benefits offered cover dental exams 100% and provide them with considerable discounts on most required dental treatments.
