Brent Williams - President & CEO

Brent Williams is President/CEO and founder of Dental Select. He has developed Dental Select into a dental benefits industry leader in product innovation, service, and technology. In addition to spearheading the company’s corporate growth and strategies, Brent is the chief architect of  product innovation and development.    

As a National leader in the dental benefits industry, Brent served on the National Association of Dental Plans (NADP) Board of Directors from 2002 to 2005 and was recently reelected to the NADP Board in 2006. During his tenure, he was an NADP officer serving as its Secretary/Treasurer and Chair of the Budget Committee. He has also been an active member with the National Dental Electronic Data Interchange Council (NDEDIC) and the National Association of Health Underwriters (NAHU).

Brent has 18 years of leadership experience in the dental benefits industry coupled with 8 years of accounting and financial background. Educated as an accountant, he has a detailed understanding and background of financial management coupled with extensive experience in computer technology and dental benefit risk management.

Suzette Musgrove - Chief Sales and Operations Officer

Suzette presides over the Dental Select management team directing all aspects of operations including Administration, Marketing, Professional Relations, Systems Development and Support, IT and Finance. Suzette also leads Dental Select’s regional sales, providing team oversight and operating sales strategies. With over 28 years of experience in the dental industry, including 17 years working within several dental offices, Suzette has a detailed understanding of the providers’ perspective.  Suzette has lectured for the Utah Dental Association conference.  She is currently a member of the National Association of Dental Plans (NADP), serving on their Professional Relations committee who work directly with the ADA.  Suzette is also on the Board of Directors for Donated Dental and is a member of the National Dental Electronic Data Interchange Council (NDEDIC).  In 2004, Utah Business Magazine named Suzette as one of Utah’s 30 Women to Watch, a prestigious award given to only the top business women in Utah.

Roger Adams, D.M.D., M.B.A  - Vice President of Business Development; CEO and President, Sealants for Smiles

Dr. Adams brings to Dental Select over 35 years of experience in the dental field including two dental specialty training programs, Oral Pathology and Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Adams has been an active volunteer with the National Association of Dental Plans (NADP).  He received the Gabryl Award in 2005, NADP’s highest recognition for volunteer service.  Dr. Adams has served as NADP Board of Directors Chair, Secretary/Treasurer and Chairman of the Budget Committee and Chair of both the 2000 and 2001 Annual Conferences. Dr. Adams has represented the NADP as a spokesperson in Washington DC and Summit leader for the development of Dental Plan Accreditation Standards. Prior to joining Dental Select, Dr. Adams was the V. P. of Business Development for Anthem Specialty Companies.  He is responsible for business development at Dental Select and provides dental and business consulting/education within our claims and sales departments.  In March 2007 Dr. Adams became CEO and President of Sealants for Smiles, a non-profit organization bringing oral health education and dental disease prevention services to low-income children through a school-based dental sealant program.  Dental Select supports and administers Sealants for Smiles so that all donations go directly to the education and application of dental sealants to at-risk children.

Mike Nelson - Vice President of Underwriting

Mike is a graduate from the University of Utah with a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Mathematics.  After graduation, he continued his education and training in insurance by passing examinations administered by the Society of Actuaries. Mike brings 10 years of experience in underwriting to Dental Select.  His positions of tenure include Actuarial Analyst for an international actuarial firm, Senior and Lead Underwriter for a large medical insurance carrier and Senior Account Analyst for a large Insurance Agency in Utah. Mr. Nelson’s experience includes health, dental and vision plan valuation as well as underwriting and resolving client’s business challenges.

James Gilbride - Vice President of Technology

James brings over 10 years of Information Technology experience to Dental Select. He’s held several leadership positions in a wide range of industries, including manufacturing, healthcare, and the non-profit sector both in Utah and in Washington, D.C. where he served as the Network Manager for a successful dot com company. James also serves as the Director of Information Technology for Sealants for Smiles, an oral health program sponsored by Dental Select. He is a graduate of the University of Utah where he received his degree in both Psychology and Philosophy. James brings a solid background and crucial understanding of how to best facilitate successful internal and external communications, as well as an innovative knowledge of how to deliver our clients a better, easier, and more consistent way of doing business through expanding technology.

Amy Anholt - Director of Finance

Amy is responsible for all financial operations of Dental Select. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Weber State University with Magna Cum Laude Honors. She then went on to earn her Masters of Professional Accountancy Degree from the same university. Amy has 7 years of experience in accounting including 4 years as a senior auditor for two International Accounting firms. She is a licensed Certified Public Accountant and is a member of American Woman’s Society of Certified Public Accounts and the Utah Association of Certified Public Accountants.
